Dr Ken Baddeley studied for his medical degree at University of Melbourne, followed by 4 years of post graduate training based at Royal Melbourne Hospital, in a variety of surgical and medical jobs. This was followed by additional stints in rotations in Paediatrics and Obstetrics with general practice jobs in Coburg and Brunswick.
In General Practice, Ken initially worked as a partner in Family Medical Centre in Sunbury, from 1985-1999. He also enjoyed Obstetrics at the local hospital (now closed) and picking up skills in Occupational Health, Sports Medicine, Aviation & Scuba medicine.
Over the years, Ken has played an active role in the Divisions of General Practice, as Chairman and Education coordinator. He has also helped develop programmes to upskill GPs in Skin Cancer detection and management and Post Natal Depression.
Ken is passionate about supporting and mentoring new doctors, and has consistently been involved in the supervision and teaching of GP registrars and medical students from various universities and training bodies.
